Bug-hunting

When I got home today Jordan dashed outside, as he tends to do. I had kitty litter cleaning to do - Katie's been out since Sunday, and won't be back until tomorrow, so I've been having to take care of the cats - so I jammed open the door so that the cats could get in and out as they please.

When I got back inside from dumping out the old litter, I noticed that both Jordan and Chelsea were intent on something. Usually when this happens, it's that they're intent on each other, and are about to tear around the house after one another until Chelsea meows in distress, but this time they were focused on something new: a bug!

I think it's the first time they've had live prey. This particular thing was probably some kind of small moth, but I never got a clear look at it, since they were having fun batting it around if it ever made it more than 2 inches off the ground.

Anyway, that was somehow fun for me :) I'm glad to see that they're hunting things. Jordan was, unfortunately, somewhat hogging the bug, but Chelsea got at least a couple hits in herself.

So... yeah. Cool :)
