Dance! Dance, float! Shoot! Oh no! Float, dance!

From Telkoth.net

I just finished watching Wonderful Days, a pretty neat Korean anime. It's one of those "society has destroyed itself, and the rebels seek to make things better again" kind of movies, except that their vision of "making things better" is "clearing the sky of pollution so we can see the blue sky, even though life is going to suck afterwards when the pollution settles down again and we don't have electricity."

Anyway, it really was cool! The scenery is all rendered in 3D, save some water splashes and explosions, and it's done frighteningly well! There's this one scene with rain, and you're seeing it bounce off the pavement, or something... and damn! It looked good! I was also happy that even though the characters and explosions were drawn, they still mixed really well with the 3D. There were only a couple scenes where things didn't look right, mostly when characters were interacting directly with a 3D objects.

The final scene is really kind of funny and bizarre, though. It's like... opera... ballet... people get shot dramatically. The title of this post should give you a good idea of how it went :)

Heh, well... back to PsyPets, or maybe The Nameless... ah, I can't decide! Maybe I'll just play Magic instead :P
