Mouse Trap!

[Katie]: there were terrible mousetraps in the boiler room!

[Katie]: they were sticky, so that things would get stuck and starve
telkoth: ha - wow
[Katie]: there was only one long-dead mouse
telkoth: so instead of feeding the mouse and snapping its body
[Katie]: but things that kill quickly are better
telkoth: it traps and starves it
[Katie]: yes :(
telkoth: is the idea with the sticky ones to kill?
[Katie]: except the snapping ones might miss
[Katie]: yeah
telkoth: it seems like the idea is more so that you can find them and do what you want with it
[Katie]: no one goes in the boiler room
telkoth: heh - right
telkoth: so misused traps, perhaps?
[Katie]: ah, but I think their little legs would snap off if you tried to unstick them
telkoth: hm
[Katie]: it's very sticky
telkoth: okay, then :P
[Katie]: and mice are kinda frail
[Katie]: I threw them out
[Katie]: the one I found was missing a leg, but it might have just decomposed that way
[Katie]: it occured to me later to wonder if the mouse had lost it trying to escape
telkoth: maybe it was working on gnawing off its own leg, in order to escape?
telkoth: right :P
telkoth: OR
telkoth: maybe you blacked out, and when you came to the mouse's leg was missing, and you don't remember it but you savagely ripped off the leg, and tossed it around, and stuff
telkoth: ha-ha

telkoth: I like that possibility best
